Lingerie Français is a unique exhibition curated by historian Catherine Orman. 100 pieces of French Lingerie “illustrating significant developments in fashion, technological innovation, legendary craftsmanship, the morphing silhouette and the ever-evolving ideals of feminine propriety” will be shown in tandem with several internationally respected artists, such as M.J. Van Huijkelom, whose use of the female self informs their work. The photography by Gilles Berquet elegantly combines with the extraordinary undergarments on exhibit shortly at the Sagamore Hotel in Miami Beach from 11/29 to 12/6
This show is a major effort to elevate intimates to the art status they command and it has governed society since 1880 and dictated women’s fashion are revealed through collections from major innovators in our industry including AUBADE, BARBARA, CHANTELLE, EMPREINTE, IMPLICITE, LISE CHARMEL, LOU, LOUISA BRACQ, MAISON LEJABY, PASSIONATA, and SIMONE PÉRÈLE.
